Excess Manpower

What can my company do if we do not have sufficient work for our employees?

Take advantage of the lull period to train and upgrade your employees' skills under the Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) or Skills Development Fund (SDF).

Look for alternative areas of work within your company to deploy the surplus workers.

If you have a flexible wage system (comprising the year-end and monthly variable components) in place, use it to adjust your wage cost.

Implement shorter workweeks or temporary layoffs.
